2 Going 1 Way

A blog following the adventures of Sam and Georgi around the world. Join us on our adventure as we travel, eat, inspire.

For the Christmas and New Year period we decided to treat ourselves. We actually booked this trip before we booked/ planned any travels. We stayed from the 23rd December to 2nd January. We booked the Executive Suite through Bookings.com

The suite was incredible, the only one on the resort to be on the edge of the sea, as well as having a private sun lounge deck, living area with sofas, tv and fridge.

The booking included free breakfast, buffet style including chefs who would cook your eggs how you liked and prepared bacon/ sausages fresh to order. The food on the resort was reasonably cheap with the average local main meal costing 140TBH and western style mains for 199TBH, all of which was the same price for room service for those rainy hungover days.

The beach was on our doorstep with clear waters as far as you could see. The only danger was a coconut falling on you from the palm trees above! Obviously there was a rope swing for that insta worthy pic too.

On NYE they hosted an incredible gala dinner buffet (also included in the room price) with live entertainment including; singers, belly dancers and a fire show. There were 4 pools to choose from, as well as a gym, which we took full advantage of as we hadn’t seen physical exercise for nearly 3 months.

The whole time was amazing, apart from our luck with the weather which brought rain for the majority of our stay. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful, the maids came everyday to clean the suite and remake the beds.
Overall we would highly recommend this hotel, it’s situated 100m from the Haad Rin pier, and even then you still get a free transfer to your front door.
