Goodbye to England

Goodbye to England

I Must Brie Crazy

Hi Everyone! We're Travelling the World! Atlanta>England>Egypt>South Africa>Sumatra>Bali>Australia>New Zealand>South America>Central America>Where next??? I really hope you enjoy my blog. I'm new at this, so be kind.

*Sorry there are no pics in this post. I’m having issues with internet, but wanted to get this posted since I know I’m behind. My instagram stays up to date though!

Tonight we say goodbye to England! We landed on September 5th, and it has been a whirlwind 2 weeks. It has gone so fast. I am exhausted. We have not gotten on a good schedule since being here. My plan was to do yoga every day and write in my journal. I’ve written a few times and practiced yoga once. Epic yoga fail!

Goodbye to Friends and Family

Our nights in England have been spent visiting with friends old and new. All of our friends with babies, now have small children! Where does time go? I finally met a few of Andrew’s pals from when he was very young and a couple of their partners. Everyone seems to be doing so well. At times I wish I had moved to England a few years ago instead of Andrew moving to the US, but we can’t change the past. Who knows if we’d be taking this adventure now if I had moved instead.

Spend Money to Make Money…or Travel

On top of visiting family and friends we have been using our time in England to continue planning. We have shopped until we’ve dropped in order to get all the suggested items for travelling. There is a large mall in Sheffield called Meadowhall. My friend Ryan worked there many years ago. I would hang out at the mall while he worked. Many Sheffielders avoid it like the plague. We’ve been 5 times! It is amazing how much stuff you think you need when travelling the world for a year. I can’t wait to write a post about all we’ve packed. Then I’ll write a post about what we didn’t need.

Finally, Autumn!

The weather has been mostly pleasant, if not a little chilly, but I’m not complaining since we’re about to be in heat for the next year (if our budget holds!) It was the first time feeling fall weather since way back in 2016. Autumn days with the sunny weather and cool breeze are my favorite. It has rained quite a bit, but it hasn’t slowed my spirit.

Final Thoughts Before Bed

I am very excited about the adventures that await us, but I am also worried about jumping in to the deep end of the huge world we live in. The adventure does not feel real yet. It feels like we’re planning a last minute vacation. Andrew has a bit of a chest cold and has been on antibiotics since we arrived. I just hope he continues getting better so we can enjoy our time in Egypt. Tomorrow I will wake up and we will be on our way to Egypt! I just hope I can sleep tonight.
